ROUND ROCK, TX — Caitlin Rourk, a Democrat and first-time candidate for Congress in Texas’ 31st District, announced today that her campaign raised over $100,000 in just two months, fueled by more than 2,500 grassroots donors. The strong Q3 fundraising haul underscores the early momentum behind Rourk’s campaign to flip a seat long held by Republican Rep. John Carter.
“We're building the serious, disciplined campaign it will take to win in TX-31,” said Rourk. “This race isn’t about making noise, it’s about delivering results. I’m running to bring real service and vision to this district, and I’m all in. With the right team, the right plan, and the grit to execute it, we can flip this seat and finally give Central Texans the leadership they deserve.”
At nearly 84, Rep. Carter is seeking re-election amid signs of shifting political dynamics in the district. Meanwhile, the Republican primary has drawn challengers like Valentina Gomez, whose extreme views represent a dangerous direction for the district.
